Daredevil is attacked by Nekra, only to be defeated by Mandrill.
Mandrillo and her female warriors arrive in Washington, where they take control of the White House.
Black Widow manages to free herself from Mandrill's control and frees Daredevil and Shanna.
Together they attack Mandrill and Nekra.
Mandrill confronts Daredevil on the roof of the White House, but falls, presumed dead.

Kevin O'Brian carries Iron Man to safety, confused after passing out.
Meanwhile Marianne Rodgers, Tony Stark's current girlfriend, wakes up naked in bed, sensing that her man is in danger.
The White Dragon and Princess Kreol continue to spy on Stark's actions through the transmitter.
Iron Man manages to track their submarine and boards them.
Princess Kreol has always been the true leader of the gang, but when the White Dragon finds out, he causes the submarine to explode.

The Slasher (a criminal with robotic claws for hands) and Demitrius (a seer), are planting a mysterious transmitter at an airport.
The two were hired specifically, but are about to cross paths with Iron Man.
Shortly afterwards Tony Stark and Marianne Rodgers land in the same airport, at the instant in which the transmitter is activated.
Iron Man springs into action.
