When Spider-Man intervenes, he is captured by the two criminals.

Mary Jane is contacted by Nick Katzenberg, the Bugle reporter who exposed Peter, to blackmail her.
If she sleeps with him, he won't reveal their secret. Mary Jane knocks him out with her fist.
Spider-Man pressures Carrion's true memories to distract him and break free, but he and Hobgoblin are too strong together.
When Hobgoblin makes an attempt on his mother's life, Carrion recovers the memories and stops Hobgoblin, ending up exploding together.

Titania, Trapster and the Brothers Grimm are freed from Graviton on their way to prison.
Katzenberg takes Peter's photos to the Bugle, but Parker manages to convince Joe Robertson that they are fakes (thanks also to the support of Puma, who knows the truth).
The escape was organized by the Chameleon, who wants Spider-Man to be killed. Goliath is also added to the team.
Spider-Man confronts them, even though he no longer has the powers of Captain Universe, eventually being sent into orbit by Graviton.
