Spider-Man gets rid of the rubble and defuses Doctor Octopus' bomb, while on the upper floors Jameson's hired bodyguards put Octavius on the run.
When Jameson returns home he finds out that his wife has been kidnapped by Octopus, who demands a ransom.
Spider-Man becomes suspicious and follows him, saving Jameson's wife just in time and putting Doctor Octopus on the run.

Doctor Strange tells Spidey about the origins of the Crown and the Serpent Men, dating back to the time of Conan the Barbarian.
When The Thing attacks Quasar to free him from the Crown's control, Spider-Man and Scarlet Witch are ready to help him.
They discover that the followers of the Serpent are using the cosmic cube to empower the Crown, but together they manage to destroy it.
