Karula wakes up in a village, cared for by a woman and her daughter (an alien species with a harmless appearance, shaped like a ball).
When some Bosvanian deserters break into the house, Karula kills them all, enjoying it.
Her bloodthirsty enthusiasm frightens the villagers.

In the present Kei and Yuri catch up with Shasti and foil her plans and abandon her in space, believing her dead.
In the past they are found by rescuers naked and tied up, but still alive.
Their bravery convinces their superiors to appoint them operatives.
Shasti survived and is rescued by her men.
