In the distant future humans live in the hyper-tech city of Armagarh, while the rest of the world has been rendered toxic by pollution.
Armagarh is threatened by the Asuras, a race of demons who want to take over the world.
The King of Armagarh has four sons (two from his first wife, two from his second), whom he decides to send to defend the kingdom on the borders.
The eldest of his sons, Rama, has blue skin and is the only one with this characteristic.
The Asura owe their military superiority to the power to reach any place quickly, thanks to dimensional portals.
Rama manages to save the population of the outpost by negotiating with the army of Asuras, but this causes him to be exiled from Armagarh.
Rama, however, is a warrior mentioned in an ancient prophecy, so he is joined by an old seer magician, who will lead him to his destiny.
Along with the old man there is also his brother Lakshman and together they reach the legendary city of Mithila.
In Mithila Rama meets Seeta, daughter of Mother Earth, whom he is destined to protect her, from Ravan, the mighty king of the Asuras.
