The CIA just appointed a new director.
As usual, the deputy director shows him a video showing the bloodiest actions of one of their secret agents.
The Director is shocked and orders the agent's elimination.
Paul Moses is retired and leads a quiet life, although memories of the past haunt him.
The only diversion is a phone call to a pension service employee, Sally.
Three agents try to kill him during the night, but he easily dispatches them.
Immediately understanding the situation, he informs the control room that “Red” is back on duty.

Red eliminates all the agents guarding the perimeter, putting Langley on alert.
His first stop is at Sally's house, to whom he explains the situation and asks for help.
Sally gives him her badge and he can then access the CIA computers from Washington.
While the agents are sent to Washington, he leaves for Langley.

Paul Moses eliminates every agent protecting the perimeter of Langley and reaches the deputy director's office.
Red kills the director and the vice-director, accusing them of not leaving him alone as agreed.
When he leaves the office there is an army of agents waiting for him.
This comic inspired a 2010 film starring Bruce Willis, with the same title.
The film version was more ironic and less destructive (not that it takes much!).
With the exception of the protagonist, Paul Moses, there is little in common between the two stories, which represent two completely distinct genres.
This graphic novel is a masterpiece, the movie a deserved blockbuster.
