Chapter 1: The Horde of the Living
original editor (France): Editions Du Lombard
pencil: Francois Miville-Deschenes
story: Sylvain Runberg
At the time of the Babylonian Empire, the Hittites invade the territory of the Scythians, sowing death.
The three main Scythian tribes (Callipideans, Sarmatians and Cimmerians) join forces to stop them.
The King of Babylon, Hammurabi, sends a scribe to document the war.
Her name is Thusia.
Each of the three Scythian peoples has a specialization within the great "Horde of the Living".
The Callipidei, led by King Marak, are skilled in training wild animals, such as bears and elephants.
The Sarmatians, led by Queen Simissea, are a people composed only of women and very skilled warriors.
The Cimmerians are led by King Kymris and offer the Horde, in addition to strong warriors, the last five survivors of Atlantis, endowed with divinatory and telepathic powers.
The Horde begins its march immediately after a divinatory rite performed simultaneously by the Sarmatian seers and the Atlanteans.
The divinations are in conflict and Mestor of Atlantis strikes the seer Sarmati, offended.
Some Kurgan warriors attempt to steal the Horde's horses, but are easily defeated.
The night before departure, someone beheads Mestor and his two mistresses.

Chapter 2: The Hittite Plague
original editor (France): Editions Du Lombard
pencil: Francois Miville-Deschenes
story: Sylvain Runberg
King Marak accuses the seer Sarmati of killing Mestor.
Although there is no proof, Queen Simissea is forced to execute her seer, to keep the peace in the Horde.
Meanwhile, the Hittite army allies with the Kurgans to invade a Scythian city and lure the Horde into a trap.
Thusia accepts the court of King Marak to be shown his secret weapon: trained Griffins and Hippogriffs.
Thusia learns how the 5 Atlanteans escaped the destruction of their island (thanks to Mestor's visions).
Queen Simissea's favorite lover and slave is killed and skinned, with a technique typical of the Cimmerians.
Before the Queen can challenge King Kymris, the Horde is warned of the Hittite attack.
The Horde triumphs against the Hittites, with the contribution of all its components.
Thusia also proves to be a skilled warrior, attracting the attention of the Cimmerian king.
The Hittite king forges an alliance with the Kermani people, as skilled trainers as the Callipideans.
The new allies bring their giant trained quadrupeds (a cross between a horse and a dinosaur) to the Hittite army.
