Cole Cash meets his former Wildcats teammate Savant, Tao's ex-lover, but it's just a red herring.
Thanks to her computer skills, she directs him to Domino, the bar where it all began.
The bartender tells him how, on the night of the shooting of Lynch, he and John left the bar together.
As he has no memory of this event, he is increasingly confused.
When he returns to the hotel he finds Tao and Carver waiting for him.
Tao orders Carver to kill Cole Cash.

Carver spares Cash and reveals himself as an undercover agent for John Lynch.
Cole Cash gets the whereabouts of Tao and goes to kill him.
Tao reveals that he had been controlling him from the beginning and forced him to shoot Lynch.
Cole Cash finds himself at the Domino with no memory of what happened.
When he is later contacted by Carver, he does not recognize him.
