Kevin Hawkins, a disgraced S.A.S. agent, is forced by his boss to accept the worst assignments.
This time he is ordered to kill the members of the Authority.
Teleported aboard the Carrier, he easily manages to kill everyone with a modified pistol, just because he is underestimated.
Unfortunately, the person who gave him the job wasn't really his boss, but an alien infiltrator.
Now that the Authority has been eliminated, an alien fleet may invade Earth.
The Carrier makes direct contact with Kev, who manages to convince him to revive the Authority and stop the invasion.

Kev begins to recount the events that brought him to disgrace.
In 1993 he was in India with his team and during a clash some drug traffickers saved a tiger cub.
Danny, the latest addition to the team, fails to kill it and takes it with him to England, secretly.
Three years later Kev is assigned to protect a British diplomat visiting the base.
The diplomat forces him to find a prostitute and Kev decides to organize the intimate meeting at Danny's house, the only one available.
During the date, two intruders try to break into the house and Kev takes the diplomat to the cellar to protect him.
He doesn't know that Danny is hiding the now adult tiger in the cellar.
The diplomat is devoured and only his head remains.
Apollo reveals to him that the diplomat is actually the wanted alien and that he has regenerative powers.

Midnighter, Apollo, Kev and some members of his old team set out to find the head.
They track her down to a lake where MI5 dumps the bodies of their victims (most of them killed by Kev).
The head is still alive and has enhanced its brain, now able to awaken the corpses around it.
Midnighter and Apollo manage to capture it and bring it to the Carrier, but leave Kev and his friends in the lake.
The alien has hidden an atomic bomb in the lake and Kev, to save the nearby city, decides to throw it into the door to the Carrier, believing he has (again) killed the Authority.

The Carrier manages to save most of its structure from the explosion, including Authority.
The alien is handed over to the invaders and the threat is averted.
Midnighter meets Kev at the pub, after the events and they have time to discuss, getting to know each other better.
Kev reveals that he let Danny and his tiger go, taking all the blame.
What he doesn't say is that Danny has become an expert eco-terrorist.
