Sarah manages to find her daughter Satoko in a city on the war front.
The girl became a nun in the cult of Maria Theresa, a former prostitute who converted to religion.
The young nuns work as nurses in the army field hospital, but to get more food they are also willing to prostitute themselves with the soldiers.
When Sarah recognizes her, Satoko is pregnant and wants to keep the baby.
Soon after, the battle begins and Sarah has to protect the nuns from the soldiers.
However, it will be the young nuns who put an end to the battle, with a miracle.
While mines and cannons explode all around, they pray and are spared, convincing the armies to stop.
Sarah stays by his side until the birth of her grandson, then leaves in search of the other two children.
