Jackson King and Christine Trelane, former Weathermen of Stormwatch, are invited to a party of Authority on the Career.
There are many super-attendees at the party and their dissolute behavior convinces Jackson to change his principles.
During the party we also witness Union's suicide, as he shoots himself in the head with his energy bar.
After a pointless argument with Jack Hawksmoor, Jackson and Christine leave the party and begin putting their new plan into action.

The story begins in another dimension, where Jackson King is in command of all the supers on the planet, who have just been massacred.
Only one of them survived, Morningstar, who thanks to King's power is sent to our dimension.
Jackson King and Christine Trelane track him down in a church, having become a priest, calling himself Jon Farmer.
With them is also Professor Q, a woman with a constant link with a celestial super computer, which gives her exceptional abilities.
Jackson convinces Jon to stop a young augmented person who has lost control of his powers and then joins his group.

On April 1, 1901, a black baby girl was born in Texas who was destined to become a “Daughter of the Century.”
The intervention of the Fever Ones, extradimensional creatures resembling ravens, prevents her from knowing her powers.
While Jackson King and Condition Red, another member of Monarchy, capture Hitler's ghost, Christine and Professor K track down the little girl born a century ago.
When they try to reveal the poor old woman's true nature, the Fever Ones are called back to stop them.
