During the final battle with Mjolnir, Thor recalls his father's training in its use.
It is revealed that Odin, before him, had already felt the weight of holding the weapon.
Odin solved the problem by giving the weapon to his son.
Thor takes Mjolnir to Nidavellir, to the forge where it was forged.
Here he unleashes all his "Odin Force" and tears apart Mjolnir, destroying the souls within.
At the end of the fight Thor collapses exhausted.
When he awakens from Odin's sleep, four months later, Angela leads him to the armory and shows him Mjolnir, recomposed by the power of the Angels of Heven.
Inside the hammer, Odin's soul now resides.
