Gamma Corvi, one of Thanos' lackeys, kidnaps Thor's sister, Laussa, daughter of Odin, Surtur and Freya (I don't know the details of conception!).
Gamma Corvi takes her to a forbidden area in Niffleheim.
The ban was placed by King Bor, Thor's grandfather, so Thor tracks down the Valkyrie Rune.
Runa finds herself on a romantic date with a girl from Cleveland, Ohio, protected by the Disir (the other dead and wraith-wraithed Valkyries).
Runa agrees to help Thor reach Niffleheim to save Laussa.
The place was forbidden after a battle in which the sorcerers of Bor lost control of a very powerful spell (probably the Black Gem that both Thor and Thanos are after).
In the heart of the forbidden place, Thor and Runa find Bor.
