Story of Tupac Amaru, the last Inca emperor.
Version inspired by some unrecognized Catholic religious writings and indigenous Peruvian oral history.
Official history states that, in 1532, Pizarro El Conquistador, with only 300 men, managed to get the better of an Inca army of over 5,000 men.
It seems that Pizarro actually succeeded in his intent by poisoning Tupac Amaru's escort soldiers with drugged wine.
Captured the emperor, he used him as a hostage, forcing his army to surrender.
Tupac Amaru was beheaded in front of his people by the Spanish general and the friars who accompanied him.

“Chapter 2: Condorcanqui”

Story of Tupac Amaru II, descendant of his namesake.
Condorcanqui was a Peruvian landowner, descended from Tupac Amaru, who lived in the 18th century.
Condorcanqui opposed Spanish and Christian rule over his lands, raising an army of over 20,000 men to challenge them.
The revolution began in 1777.

Condorcanqui had himself crowned Emperor Inca and took the name of Tupac Amaru II.
His revolution lasts only a few years, against the overwhelming Spanish power.
The army dispersed, Tupac Amaru II was captured in April 1780.
First he is tortured, then he has to witness the death of his entire family (with the exception of his youngest son, who is imprisoned for life in Africa) on May 18, 1781.
Condorcanqui is finally beheaded and torn to pieces.
Every Inca celebration is forbidden, his farm is razed and the villages burnt.

“Chapter 4: Commander Evaristo”

Story of Commander Evaristo, who in April 1997 (6 months before the publication of this comic), was killed along with his 14 companions during the liberation of 700 hostages in the Japanese embassy in Lima.
President Fujimori's CIA-trained shock troops managed to enter the embassy, which had been occupied for 4 months by MRTA rebels, who were demanding the release of 400 of their comrades from government prisons.
All the revolutionaries died in the assault.
Fujimori, was sentenced for crimes against humanity in 2009 to 25 years, but was released from prison in 2017 for health reasons, then imprisoned again and retried.
In 2022 he received an amnesty from the Supreme Court of Peru and is currently free pending a final decision.
