The series tells the adventures of the Ultimates, the Avengers of the “Ultimate” version, which inspired most of the elements included in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe).
In the eleventh chapter of the series, the leader of the Chitauri explains in detail his plans to Wasp, a prisoner (naked ...) in a test tube. He also reveals to her that she plans to use her body as his new wrap.
At the end, the SHIELD agents and the Ultimates, believed dead in the previous chapter, return, ready for the final battle.
The escalation continues towards the grand finale.

The Ultimates do not defeat the Chitauri until Cap is freed from the Hulk in battle.
Curiosity: while confronting the leader of the Chitauri, who orders him to surrender, Cap replies in a full-page close-up where he indicates the 'A' on his forehead: "Do you think this letter means France?".
I don't know how French readers took it ...
Still a narrative crescendo, towards the grand finale.
