Effi discovers that there are other suspicious subjects on the island, wearing wrist geiger counters.
The photographer's name is Sting and he didn't die at sea.
He attacks Effi with a machine gun, but is killed first.
His killer appears the following night, trying to kill Effi too.
A pack of Dobermans saves her, tearing the attacker to pieces.
It is not clear what those men were looking for and the story ends.
