Pirate Sevyr Blackmore tells the origins of Solem.
Solem was raised by Sevyr, who taught him to steal and kill.
He loves women and fun, but is also a sadist (he cut off the pirate's nose).
Blackmore tracked him down to a casino in Madripoor and in the fight lost Muramasa's sword (twin of Wolverine's, created in the “Sword of X” saga).
After the tale Sevyr asks Wolverine to bring him Solem, in exchange for the sword.
Logan returns home to find that his sword has been stolen.
