While Maddie is a guest on Krakoa she is poisoned by a wasp genetically modified by Beast.
Wolverine and Sage travel to the United States in search of Jeff Bannister.
They find him in Langley and learn that he works for the Beast, who are blackmailing him.
Before adding anything else, the Beast shoots him in the chest.
Wolverine chases and kills him, but is immediately reborn in a new body on Krakoa.
