Spider-Man meets Wolverine, whom he thought was dead, in New York while he is trying to help a young mutant who has disappeared.
They track her down to the same warehouse where the thief who killed Ben Parker took refuge.
The girl and her father have been kidnapped by Critical Mass and his band of super-villains, including the thief's brother.
The battle ends with the death of all the super-villains at the hands of the young mutant, who Logan then helps to escape.
