Archangel and Psylocke receive an invitation from the Hellfire Club, as their parents were members.
Suspecting some machination, they accept the invitation.
They are greeted by Tessa, Sebastian Shaw's former mutant assistant, who stuns them and delivers them to Shinobi, Sebastian's son.
Shinobi Shaw proposes to Archangel, who he befriended at the club when they were children, to become the new White King of the Inner Circle.
Shinobi is also a mutant, with the power to become intangible (like Kitty Pryde).
Arcangelo refuses the offer and leaves the club.

Mystique is hunting her son, Graydon Creed, from a relationship with Sabretooth.
To achieve this she kills a Pentagon general linked to him.
Rogue and Nightcrawler are also present at the general's funeral, who prevent her from carrying out a massacre.
Mystique wants to be followed by her adopted daughter and Nightcrawler, even if she hasn't yet revealed the bond between them.
In the house where Rogue grew up, raised by Mystique and Destiny, they find Graydon Creed, who reveals to be Kurt's brother.
Kurt was born to Mystique after the death of his father, a German count.
Raven had to abandon Kurt after an attempted lynching, as his appearance revealed their mutant nature.
Rogue seems aware of Mystique and Destiny's homosexual relationship, obviously only hinted at, considering the morals of the period.
