The three X-Men find themselves prisoners in the dying man's mind and must confront his distorted fantasies.
Storm, Colossus and Archangel meanwhile hunt down a masked vigilante who kills those who persecute mutants, X-Cutioner.
When Jason Wyngarde dies, the three mutants have already managed to free themselves.
After the battle with X-Cutioner, Colossus discovers that he has been infected by Legacy.
