Ms. Marvel is brought back to life by the 5 (the only one among the mutants to wake up in a bathrobe and not naked, perhaps out of respect for her religion).
Fortunately for her, she refuses the proposal to reveal herself as a mutant during the Gala that is about to begin.
As the party begins, the Avengers must leave the Hellfire Gala for an emergency in Washington.
Rogue also leaves the party, to rescue Captain America.
Jean Grey, aka Marvel Girl, presents the new lineup of the X-Men: Talon, Synch, Prodigy, Cannonball, Frenzy, Dazzler, Jubilee and the Juggernaut.
Without even having time to congratulate them, Nimrod's attack arrives, falling from Earth's orbit.
Cannonball, Frenzy, Dazzler, and Prodigy die instantly, followed soon after by Jubilee.
Iceman attacks Nimrod, but is infected with a virus that disintegrates him.
Marvel Girl launches the Juggernaut at Nimrod, walking away from the party together.
Orchis' attack continues with the Stark Sentinels, who surround Krakoa.
Karima Shapandar and Dr. Stasis reach Professor Xavier, to whom they reveal that they have infected the Krakoan vaccines with M.O.D.O.K.'s help.
Whoever has taken the vaccine begins to lose control, killing everyone around them.
Moira MacTaggert joins the attack, killing Jean Gray with an enchanted blade.
Xavier surrenders, telepathically forcing all mutants to leave Krakoa through the Krakoan portals.
Orbis Stellaris, a clone of Sinister with the body of his wife Rebecca Essex, traps Krakoa in a magical sphere, for unknown purposes.
Jean Gray manages to use her powers to convince Orchis that Firestar was a spy in their service, before finally dying.
Mystique falls from the Gala tower, resisting Xavier's mental control and crashes onto the rocks, disappearing into the waves.
The 5 are saved by Exodus, who pushes them into a Krakoan portal.
Wolverine resists Xavier's telepathic command, as do other long-time X-Men, attacking Orchis.
Kingpin, a Krakoan citizen for having married Thypoid Mary, teams up with Emma Frost to destroy Orchis (and find his wife).
Lourdes loses her life (again) while saving other mutants with her teleportation.
Nimrod returns to his associates, with the head of the Juggernaut.
Rogue saves Xavier before Moira X can kill him.
Shadowcat discovers that she is the only one left who can pass through the Krakoan portals, blocked by Orchis.
Xavier loses mental contact with all the mutants who have crossed the portals, convincing himself that he killed them.
Inevitable conclusion of the Krakoan cycle, which several excellent deaths (definitive?! I doubt it!).
Too many irons in the fire, which will allow the mutant saga to continue for years, if well exploited.
